COMMUNITY
“Barbecue may not be the road to world peace, but it’s a start” Anthony Bourdain
At its core, barbecue is and always has been about community. This belief has been an instrumental part in creating long lasting relationships with charities we support such as:
Giant Steps
The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation
United Way
The Police Memorial Foundation
The Special Olympics
Sunnybrook Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Operation BBQ Relief
Currently we also support the Bethlehem United Shelter, operated by the Fred Victor Centre. It provides 24-hour shelter for marginalized adult men and women. With the help of our clients, we donate excess food items from events to the shelter to assist them with feeding their residents.
The sense of community also extends to our valuable team. We recognize that the key to our success has been the top-notch people we have surrounded ourselves with throughout the years. Great people lead to great events. Whether they’ve been here for 5 months or 5 years, they will always be a part of The BBQ Gourmet family.
